Procter & Gamble Co-Op Fall 2024

[Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Design Research + Development]

This fall, I am working as an industrial design intern at Procter & Gamble, one of the most successful multinational consumer goods corporations with more than 45 locations across the globe, where I worked in their headquarter office in Cincinnati, Ohio. I specifically worked within their 1TPT (Transformative Platform Technologies) Innovation team: there, I was surrounded by individuals with many backgrounds in not only design, but chemistry, engineering, research, marketing, and more. This collaborative and unique environment allowed me to better understand the world of both design and CPG and the ability to benefit from a multifaceted company that focuses in all types of products ranging from shampoo to medicine to diapers— and in return, I could share my talents with a fresh design lens.

What I’m doing:

1TPT (Transformative Platform Technologies): collaborating as the designer within multiple cross-functional project teams to drive innovative product breakthroughs and using design research and processes to create compelling visualizations needed to deliver strategic recommendations to industry leaders for potential company advancement.

Tasks/skills: design communication, design research, problem solving, physical prototyping, consumer testing, and collaboration.

Brands I’m working with:

The specifics of the projects I am involved with are in a working process and remain confidential property of Procter & Gamble, and therefore cannot be shared on this site. If you have any questions, reach me at hoffmae7@mail.uc.edu. Thanks!
