Corgan Architecture & Design Firm Co-Op | 2024

[Architecture, Interior Design, and Branded Environments]

In the spring semester of 2024, I worked as an industrial design and graphic design intern at Corgan, a leading architecture and interior design firm with 16 locations across the globe, where I worked in their headquarter office in Dallas, Texas. As an industrial design major in their Interiors Sector, more specifically in their Branded Environments team, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by individuals with many backgrounds in design: architecture, interior design, graphic design, and more. This collaborative environment allowed me to better understand the world of design and the ability to benefit from a multifaceted firm that works in areas of design most industrial designers do not often get to experience— and in return, I could share my talents with an industrial design eye.

Working in Scale

Documentation

  • concept design for exterior and interior spaces: lighting, murals, dimensional installations, signage packages, and more

  • utilizing CADTools to showcase concepts internally and for external clients

  • learning and utilizing Corgan’s process of documentation for all projects

  • completing and sending files to fabricators for application

  • scaling drawings using Adobe Illustrator+CADTools

  • understanding and utilizing brand audits for commercial and private projects

  • incorporating brand guidelines into murals, dimentional installation, lighting, and signage

Brand Expression

Collaboration

  • learning new Adobe skills from graphic designers, rendering tricks from interior designers, documentation shortcuts from architects

  • sharing my skills and concepts as an industrial designer via Fusion360, Adobe Creative Suites, and Keyshot

Don’t hesitate to ask me more about my time at Corgan!
